Story Builder is a fill-in-the-blank story game for two. The story is already written, but the best words are missing. You take turns filling the gaps with a place, a food, an animal or a bad decision, without seeing the story, then read the finished thing together.
There are no points to win, but the game counts your mind-reads: how many of your predictions matched what your partner actually picked. Random picks made when the timer runs out don't count either way. Typed guesses forgive capitals, punctuation and one small typo in a longer word. Both totals appear on the book's cover.
It needs no skill and no drawing, just a sense of humour. Guessing each other's picks turns every gap into a small "how well do you know me" moment, and the finished story is a silly keepsake you made together.
How long does a game take? Each turn is 30 seconds at most, so
filling a short story takes up to 4 minutes and a long one up to 6, usually less.
Can we see the story while we fill it in? No. You only see the kind
of word needed, a hint and the words picked so far.
Will we get the same story twice? Each theme has 12 stories (8 for
Halloween), and the game avoids repeating ones you've already played in
the same room.
Story Builder is free, with no download or account needed. Available on the web and Google Play.
