Sketch & Sprint is a cooperative platformer for two. The Runner sprints automatically through a scrolling course, while the Architect draws the paths they run on. The catch: drawn lines only last a few seconds, and only the Runner can see the dangers.
Homing orbs chase the Runner on every difficulty, and Hard adds turrets that fire shots. Any line pops orbs and blocks shots, but the Architect can't see them, so the Runner has to call out where to draw a shield. Each hit costs 5 seconds. Falling or getting left behind puts you back on a fresh pad. Each room has 4 stars, and the end screen shows how many you collected along with how many rooms you cleared before the clock ran out.
Each of you holds half the picture. The Architect builds the way, the Runner watches for danger, and neither can succeed alone. It's loud, silly and very satisfying when a line appears just in time.
How long does a game take? Each room lasts up to 2 minutes, so
Easy takes under 10 minutes and Hard up to about 16.
Can we lose? Not really. If time runs out you move on to the next
room. The end screen shows how many rooms you cleared and how many stars
you collected, and gives your run a title, from Perfect Teamwork when
you clear every room with nearly every star, down to a gentle Keep
Practising.
Do I need to draw well? No. Simple, smooth lines work best.
Sketch & Sprint is free, with no download or account needed. Available on the web and Google Play.
